On doit sa fondation \u00e0 un typographe passionn\u00e9, Ghislain Bourdon, qui souhaita partager ses collections et les savoir-faire des m\u00e9tiers du livre. Le projet fut initialement h\u00e9berg\u00e9 par le mus\u00e9e de l\u2019Industrie de Charleroi avant de s\u2019installer, en 1997, dans les b\u00e2timents d\u2019une ancienne \u00e9cole maternelle. \u00c0 pr\u00e9sent, des jeunes gens aussi comp\u00e9tents que souriants s\u2019emploient \u00e0 redynamiser le lieu en organisant des expositions (en ce moment et jusqu\u2019au 6 septembre, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.maison-imprimerie.net\/exposition-kikie-crevecoeur-cdeg\" target=\"_blank\">Kikie Cr\u00eavec\u0153ur &#038; C\u00b0<\/a>), des visites scolaires, des ateliers de fabrication du papier, de composition typographique et d\u2019impression, pour petits et grands.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">Les pr\u00e9ceptes de la mus\u00e9ographie moderne n\u2019ont pas encore atteint les salles d\u2019exposition permanente et c\u2019est une excellente chose.
