Un rep\u00e8re dans le paysage urbain de mon enfance \u2014 on aper\u00e7oit de loin son d\u00f4me sur le boulevard D\u00e9carie, et son apparition \u00e0 l\u2019horizon signalait l\u2019arriv\u00e9e prochaine, la d\u00e9livrance au terme d\u2019un long trajet d\u2019autoroute \u2014, raison pour laquelle je conserve une tendresse coupable pour cette curiosit\u00e9 architecturale pop. La nuit, le d\u00e9cor a quelque chose de fellinien, p\u00e9riode <em>Ginger et Fred<\/em>. Une Montr\u00e9alaise qui fut adolescente dans les ann\u00e9es 1950 se souvient que c\u2019\u00e9tait une halte oblig\u00e9e lors de ses randonn\u00e9es cyclistes avec ses amies. On n&rsquo;y servait alors que du jus d\u2019orange. Par la suite, le b\u00e2timent est tomb\u00e9 en d\u00e9cr\u00e9pitude.
