Variations sur des th\u00e8mes de Duchamp, emprunts ironiques \u00e0 l\u2019histoire de l\u2019art (de la Renaissance \u00e0 la peinture d\u2019int\u00e9rieur hollandaise), souci perspectiviste et mises en abyme se t\u00e9lescopent dans ces toiles m\u00ealant de mani\u00e8re extr\u00eamement \u00e9labor\u00e9e peinture, collage, photographie et proc\u00e9d\u00e9s num\u00e9riques. Hamilton est mort l\u2019ann\u00e9e derni\u00e8re, \u00e0 l\u2019\u00e2ge de quatre-vingt-neuf ans, alors qu\u2019il pr\u00e9parait cette exposition.
