Parfois, une sorte de th\u00e8me secret s\u2019impose \u00e0 notre insu au fil des d\u00e9ambulations. C\u2019est apr\u00e8s coup que je m\u2019en suis rendu compte : \u00e0 Milan, j\u2019ai pass\u00e9 mon temps \u00e0 photographier des balcons, des frontons et autres d\u00e9cors de fa\u00e7ade. Ces ornements sont des indices parmi d\u2019autres d\u2019une grande vari\u00e9t\u00e9 architecturale qu\u2019on ne remarque pas de prime abord, tant ses s\u00e9diments ont fini par se fondre en un tout myst\u00e9rieusement harmonieux dans sa disparate, rythm\u00e9 par des avenues larges aux perspectives d\u00e9gag\u00e9es : gothique, Renaissance, influence autrichienne, n\u00e9oclassicisme, Liberty (version locale de l\u2019Art nouveau), Art d\u00e9co, rationalisme moderniste des ann\u00e9es 1930 qui finit par d\u00e9g\u00e9n\u00e9rer en monumentalisme mussolinien, tr\u00e8s \u00e9crasant merci beaucoup.
